Building Your Friendships During This Time Brick by Brick

Have you had friendships that ended on a bad note, and you still can’t figure out why? But before you start the blame game, maybe it’s time to take a few steps back.

  • What was this friendship worth to you? Did it seem like it was one-sided or do you truly miss the conversations you used to have?

  • Did this friendship help you grow or bring you down and make you feel neglected?

Many friendships will either weather the test of time or die out dependent upon life challenges. We need to remember that when we grow, not all of our friendships will withstand this growth. You may find that as you continue to grow many of your friendships will cease to exist. When you change your mindset, your energy shifts, and you may notice the most severe changes in your friendships. You could find some friendships you thought would last well into your retirement years, fell apart at the seams when you started gaining more confidence in yourself. Why is this?

  • When you gain confidence, your friends may not - and they may find you to be a threat.

  • When love enters your life and/or you tie the knot, you may find some friends feeling neglected that you aren’t spending as much time with them.

  • When you stop complaining and start talking about all the good things going on in your life, you may find you no longer have anything in common to talk about.

Friendships are based on common ground, feeling accepted, and having someone to share your feelings with. Friends are in our lives for a reason at the perfect time we need them. When we move on they too will move on as the friendship has served its need, and is complete. This may sound cold and heartless, but I truly believe the universe puts people in our lives at the exact times we need them, and this includes friends. Down the line, you may meet up again and the friendship will flourish again or may become a much better relationship than before due to life experience.

Know that every relationship in our lives serves us in the best possible way to either:

  • Learn from

  • Resolve Karmic issues with another person

  • Help us through rough times

  • Or help us grow.

By simply accepting this fact, it can help us deal with the loss of friendships in a much healthier way without blame or hurt. In a thankful way, we can appreciate that they were there when we needed them the most and allow for the hope that one day the friendship will return in new ways to strengthen and enrich both of your lives.

May you find growth in each friendship you make. Invest in some Energy Medicine sessions to clear and release any old connections and cords, and to gain greater clarity around these relationships.
