New Year, New You?

When we hit a new year, it stands to reason that it’s time for a refresh whether that be to refresh your mind, body, and/or soul.

But how do you start when you barely got past last year’s events? Many times, we tend to hold onto memories, events, and past hurts when we move from one year to the next. You try and try to let go, release the guilt, and get rid of the things that are no longer serving you. But each time you try it seems to only get worse or take longer to move past last year’s events or the one before that.

If these past 2 years have taught us anything is that things can change in a matter of days. We all personally found ourselves maneuvering new territory towards the end of 2019 into 2021 and each day brings even more change for many. We have seen:

  • New ways of working from home while juggling family life.

  • School children learning in new ways.

  • Our youth dealing with virtual schooling, going back to classroom schooling, back to virtual schooling all dependent upon your area.

  • Pet’s figuring out the new living arrangements from pet owners working from home full-time to going back into the workplace either full-time or part-time.

  • The great migration from one state to another.

  • Weather changes we’ve not seen in decades.

  • News reports emphasizing how much stress people are feeling in daily life.

With all of the change we’ve seen these past several years, how do you work on yourself, your mindset, and life when each day still seems to change from one thing to another? How do we work on creating good habits in our life when we aren’t even sure what to expect from day-to-day? How do you change and release old energy patterns in your body and mind?

  • We know that many things that we considered normal are no longer the case, making this a good time for a change. This change allows us to grow in bigger and better ways.

  • It’s important to keep a positive attitude and not allow outside distractions to take over. Become more aware of your mindset and emotions by adjusting your previous patterns to a healthier energetic perspective. You do have the power to make positive changes.

  • Allow for downtime, meaning no computer, social media, T.V., or phones. Turn them all off and give yourself the chance to de-tech your mind and body.

  • Taking time for yourself will help you to manage each change. By taking the time to quiet your mind and meditate you help your body/mind to release all negative thoughts completely.

If you need some support and assistance, invest in an energy tune-up and some energy medicine to create lasting change.

When change comes our way, whether that be in small bite-sizes or massive changes, we tend to allow the anxiety of change to take over. When we do this is when we fall into bad habits, become stressed out, and many times put our bodies in a weakened state for higher chances of illness.

But if you use some of the above tips you can make each change a positive experience instead of one filled with anxiety and stress. Remember that we are all energy, and energy can be adjusted, released, or changed as needed to support any changes you want to make.

We can all do this by simply changing our mindset, which can truly become the New Year New You model. Think of the ways you can manage change more productively and watch how your life will unfold with positive results.

Here's to your health/wellbeing.
