I’m sure you’ve heard of the Groundhog that predicts how long winter will last, but did you know that many of nature’s animals can predict the weather better than your local weather station?
How is that, you may be asking.
Well, there are many tell-tale signs to watch out for if you know how. Keeping in mind that you will need to look at various different insects and animals to tell whether there is a storm brewing nearby or if you need to take cover from a fast-advancing major storm.
Yes, animals can tell when it’s going to rain, snow, if a hurricane, tsunami, or tornado is on the way.
All we have to do is pay attention to how they react. Are you ready to find out how?
Dogs and horses will sniff the air several times before rain comes.
Birds will fly lower to the ground when they can feel rain or if a hurricane or tornado is on the way.
Sheep will huddle together when they can feel a winter storm approaching.
Big farm animals will start to run to higher ground when they detect a tsunami is on the way.
Cats will get very agitated, frantically trying to hide, or flee the house roughly 30 minutes before an earthquake strikes.
Squirrels will become more active and feistier shortly before a storm.
Try figuring out the temperature by counting the chirps of a cricket for 25 seconds then add 37 to that number and you will get the correct temperature in Fahrenheit.
If you find bees busy late in the summer, it could mean a hard winter is on the way.
Ants come out of their nests when the temperature hits 54 degrees or higher.
All insects will stop making noise when the temperature hits 106 degrees or higher.
As with the animals in nature we humans can tell when rain is coming by whether our joints, muscles, and bones begin to ache. This can be true of winter storms as well. Simply put, mother nature has given us ways to know when a storm is on the way and when it’s time to take cover and go inside. All we have to do is pay attention to the signs.
Listen to and observe your animals so you can tell when they are acting different. They may be trying to warn you and let you know something is amiss as they tune into the energy coming their way. They are naturally adept at the subtle realms of Energy Medicine, and can teach us to be more sensitive to our own senses and situations around us.
