Are you allowing emotions to affect your health?

Whether you believe this or not, science has proven that negative emotions can cause health issues when you hold onto past or present emotions. This doesn’t mean you should ignore these emotions, but instead, learn how to experience the emotions and release them. When we hold onto past feelings, we allow them to fester not only in our brains but in our bodies.

Imagine that each negative emotion you experience is like a black mark on an x-ray. Each time you hold on to these negative emotions one black mark after another begins to build up and often overlap each other. Soon both your body and mind have a much harder time coping with the side effects:

  • Headaches

  • Cancer

  • Ulcers

  • Heart blockage

  • Kidney stones

  • Backaches

  • Psoriasis

  • Autoimmune diseases

  • Plus a host more….

When we hold onto past emotions, we open ourselves to a host of physical ailments as our body tries to cope with the negativity. Negativity is like cancer if its not addressed early on it can be devastating. Therefore, it’s so crucial to not only learn where these emotions came from but how to release them as well. We tend to suppress many of these negative emotions because of the pain we may face. However, there are ways you can learn to release these negative emotions to allow your body and mind to truly heal. Here are a few common techniques to help you let go.

  • Writing down these feelings and where they originated from will help you to push them from your mind onto paper.

  • Now it’s time to meditate to both clear and release these from your mind.

    • Find a quiet place.

    • Quiet your mind with each breath you take.

    • Now empty your mind of any thoughts. (Be patient with yourself; it may take a bit of time to sense a shift.)

    • Imagine a bright light of positivity and healing properties entering the tip of your head. Imagine this light moving through your body step by step, body part by body part.

    • Feel your body relaxing and releasing any negativity each step of the way.

  • Now repeat this process each day.

If you follow me, you’ve heard this process before, but it truly works and deserves repeating. When you allow yourself to face these emotions and release them you allow your body to heal in truly magical ways.
