Healing with Nature

When you hear this, what comes to mind?

  • Healing with nature, what is that?

  • Does that mean the trees, grass, flowers, sky, etc. can heal me?

  • Does that mean the animals in nature can heal me?

Healing is a process that can go slowly or quickly depending on the person’s inner reserves of energy, and their will to get better, with the modalities that can help you get to a healed state. Part of this process can include nature, based on the following scientific facts.

  • The Sun has vitamin D which roughly 40% of us are lacking. Just a little bit of sun can increase your energy.

  • Trees are full of oxygen and filtrations that help take much of the pollutants and greenhouse gases out of the air, for healthier lungs. Science has proven that a simple walk through the trees can drop anxiety and depression.

  • Dogs’ saliva can help heal wounds twice as fast.

  • The pollen from Bees instilled within the honey they produce has proven to have both anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties helping us stay healthy.

  • Walking through nature can help boost both your immune system and mental fatigue.

  • Nature is made of energy like we are, so aligning your energy with Nature is a natural balancer of your energy on all levels!

This is a time when most of us spent more time indoors than out, and that has been proven to be detrimental to both our mind and body. As humans, we are meant to go out and experience nature at its best. Even just a simple walk in the park, in our neighborhood, or taking the time to go hiking can help your healing process increase substantially. Why? Because most of our healing begins with our mindset. When we spend more time in nature, our mind, emotions, and body can relax and feel invigorated with even the simple task of walking. We are not meant to sit inside all day, we are meant to be on the move.

The next time you find your energy feels low, pay attention to that signal. It can mean you are losing vitality, which means that healing is languishing.

Start to reverse the trend simply by spending some time outside. Soak up the vitamin D of the sun, the oxygen of the trees, and the energy of the plants that surround you. Allow yourself to become centered by grounding and connecting to the wonderful Earth energy. Studies have shown that those who are surrounded by trees or plants have lower levels of heart disease than those who spend more time in the city.

Maybe it’s time to get out to nature and heal your mind, body, and spirit. The more you build this habit, you’ll learn to recognize when you need a little break, of when your well-being needs extra support for deeper healing.

Here's to your health.
