Yes, that’s right, a frog. Many of you may be reading this and wondering what possible symbolisms a frog could have? Whether you believe this or not every animal has mystical symbols of their very own and many cultures look at these symbols as sacred. There are many profound spiritual lessons we can learn from the frog. Shall we explore their wisdom and what we can learn along the way?
Transformation: Frogs undergo a metamorphosis, going from a small wriggling tadpole to a frog. But when you think of this it mirrors our own physical growth and evolution as well.
Cleanse: Since frogs are aquatic creatures, they symbolize water energy, which, by itself, is a healing power. Powerful water rites have always belonged to the Frog.
Moon Energy: Frogs embody the energy the tides since they are linked to the moon.
Sensitivity to Their Environment: Since Frogs breathe through their skin this makes them extremely sensitive to the any environmental changes.
Abundance: In Japan, frogs are the symbol of good luck, good fortune, and returning to one’s place of origin
Looking Beyond Surface Appearances: In the oft-told story of “The Frog Prince” the frog’s lesson is about not judging based on outer appearances.
As you can see, the frog can teach us many lessons that we can use in our daily lives. One benefit they embody is they can live in the water and on land, so they have to be adaptable and fluid to survive.
Transformation and Rebirth: Can help you realize that you can change the course of your life by transforming or changing the things that no longer serve you. This can lead to huge growth when you embrace change. Also be willing to receive the changes to support your transformation with the help of the Frog.
Cleanse and Renewal: Water cleanses, renews, and flows allowing you to learn to cleanse the negativity from your life by releasing old emotions and toxic relationships. Keep your emotions flowing and releasing to support renewal on all levels.
Intuition and Moon Energy: Teaches you to trust your intuition and allow the universal powers to guide you in the right direction.
Extreme Sensitivity to Their Environment: As with the frog, your surroundings can affect your mentality, emotions, and physical well-being. When you stay attuned to the shifts around you it allows you to adapt wisely.
Luck and Abundance: When you believe in abundance it comes your way. This is how many who are called the “lucky ones” continually receive what they ask for. When you believe in the universal powers both luck and abundance can come your way to be recognized and welcomed.
·Looking Beyond Surface Appearances: We tend to judge situations and people by what’s on the surface. However, beneath this surface tells a whole different story. It’s up to you to look deeper before accepting or rejecting what you see.
For many different cultures they find the frog brings many spiritual symbols.
The Ancient Egyptians revered the frog goddess Heqet, the guardian of fertility and birth. They believe that when frogs appear, it’s a fertile time of birthing ideas, projects, or new paths.
Shamans believe frogs represent those who walk between the human and spirit realms.
Native Americans consider them “rainmakers” and seeing frogs indicates for them the arrival of good fortune.
After reading this, you may look at the frog with a totally different perspective. Even though many of us may overlook the qualities and attributes of the frog and what they can bring to our universe, those who tap into many of the above life lessons can certainly live a life of evolving rebirth, adapting well to changes, cleansing negativity, and learning to live a much more spiritual life. Pay attention when a frog comes into your world, even if you just hear their ‘ribit’, to see what message they are sending you, and how the frog can shift your energy!
